Our Story

A boyhood dream, mastered into an art.

Steve Wiggins, founder and president of Regency Custom Homes, started developing floor plans at age seven — and realized his boyhood dream of building stately homes and estates by mastering the art of quality craftsmanship. His passion for building custom houses is evident in every residence Regency creates: the unique designs, the exceptional finish work, the true quality.

After earning his Construction Engineering degree from Arizona State University, Steve supervised the construction of over 350 homes in the Phoenix area before becoming Purchasing Manager for one of the country's largest builders. That experience with projects of massive scale serves him well in the detail-oriented world of high-end custom homes.

We pride ourselves on constant, open communication. Many of our clients live out of state and depend on frequent job-site photos and videos and near-daily texts and emails. Combined with direct owner involvement in every selection, this is what keeps our clients happy.
Design, plans, selections and permitting typically run 6–10 months; construction runs roughly 12–18 months once permitted. Timelines vary with the lot (hillside sites, retaining walls, pool placement), size, complexity and HOA requirements.
